Pile O' Bones Derby Club is currently recruiting for our fall junior learn to skate course! Practice will run on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8pm starting September 19th. There is no practice on October 31, and the last practice is December 12.

 

No previous skating experience needed!

Pile O’ Bones Derby Club strives for growth and development of female athletes in the Regina area. We encourage teamwork, confidence, sportswomanship, and fun among our league members. You’re welcome to join PBDC regardless of your athletic ability or skating experience. We’ll work with you and together we can strive to nourish and develop your innate strengths. Join PBDC and jam with the best of us!

By joining PBDC Junior Derby, you will have access to:

  • Experience with one of Canada's top Junior Derby leagues 

  • Fresh Meat skater training

  • PBDC Junior Derby practices and free skates

  • Join a house team (Sassy Lassies or Prairie Dolls)

  • Try outs for travel teams (Miss Demeanors or Juvenile Delinquents)

  • Bonding with an amazing group of skaters, coaches, referees and volunteers

We teach and develop skating skills, game strategy, teamwork and sportswomanship in a supervised, competitive league structure coached by Aunty Authority, Vinsanity, Scarlet, Anna Filactic, and Papa Shark.

We pride ourselves on being active members of our community through our volunteer and fundraising efforts. Fundraising is conducted to ensure that all interested girls, regardless of their financial resources, are eligible to participate.

Things You Should Know

Ages: 7 to 17 yrs old


Skater Insurance: $50/year


Safety Gear Needed: Helmet, mouth guard, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist pads


Skates: Quad skates (rollerblades are NOT permitted)


Fresh Meat Skater Training: $120

 

Skaters who complete Fresh Meat and benchmark for league play pay $260 dues for the use of facilities and resources.

All coaches and volunteers have submitted a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check.
All coaches are established trainers with Pile O' Bones Derby Club.
