No previous skating experience OR SKATES needed!

PBDC is seeking people of all genders and ages to join our roster of officials. We offer a great training program and an opportunity to be part of the fastest growing sport in North America. No skating experience needed.

​

Without officials the game of roller derby would not make sense. We keep track of scores, infractions, penalty time, and rule enforcement. Did you know that it takes more officials than a single team’s members to put on a game? It does! And we have a job for anyone who is interested in joining roller derby, but not as a skater. Whether you would like to be a skating or a non-skating official, we provide full training in either or both. Come help us regulate and navigate this one of a kind sport!

Things You Should Know

 

Ages: All ages are welcome!

Skater Insurance: Provided through RDC SERVICES

Safety Gear Needed: Helmet, mouth guard, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist pads

Skates: Quad skates (rollerblades are NOT permitted)

Fresh Meat Skater Training: $50

 

Referees must complete Fresh Meat BUT they are not required to pay league dues!

All coaches and volunteers have submitted a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check.
All coaches are established trainers with Pile O' Bones Derby Club.
